The book Gideon by Nicole Riddley follows Layla, a cleaner with a hidden past, and Gideon Archer, a wealthy lycan, whose lives intertwine at a charity gala.
Layla sneaks into the gala and is drawn to Gideon’s scent, leading to a series of events that pull her into his world.
Despite an awkward blind date arranged by her mother and a series of challenges, Layla and Gideon grow closer, facing obstacles including Layla’s family pressures and Helen’s manipulations.
Layla loses her cleaning job due to false accusations and reluctantly starts working at a burlesque club, where Gideon forcibly removes her, leading to further conflict and eventual reconciliation.
