The battle that could have ended their world is finally over. Now, King Aero and Queen Serena have to bring their kingdoms together and create a better future for everyone. But when hidden secrets come to light and unexpected family members are revealed, will their bond be strong enough to hold everything together, or will it all fall apart?
Aero
“Ughh . . . ”
I’m leaning against the wall of the throne room, grunting. My pants are unzipped, my erection free.
Sweat is gathering on my forehead as I realize the tricky situation I’m in.
This woman, dangerously close, has a firm grip on my cock. It’s like she’s already claimed it with her confident touch.
I want to push her away, but something inside me stops me. Maybe it’s my wolf or my lycan identities. Yes, that must be it.
They’re enjoying this moment way too much.
“Fuck you,” I snap, glaring at her.
She just laughs and starts stroking my shaft.
Inside, I’m howling like a sex-starved animal.
Which I am.
I can’t deny it.
Fuck you, I said. I meant it to push her away, but if I’m honest with myself, yes, I want to take her. To throw her on the floor and fuck her werewolf-style all night long.
I’m so close to doing just that.
“You sure are very colorful with your words, Your Majesty,” she says, laughing a little.
I feel humiliated. I’m melting under this woman’s touch, and I hate it.
“What? Fuck me?” she asks, looking up at me while she squeezes my shaft. “You mean to fuck me?”
“Urghh . . . ” I grunt again, loving the sensation she’s giving me.
“Should I take that as a yes?” she asks, a sly grin on her face.
“You are a witch . . . Or a . . . a fae. Only witches and faes have . . . this much sexual . . . appeal,” I manage to say between breaths.
“Oh, really?” she scoffs. “Are you sure I’m not a succubus demon or a mermaid? They exude the same, you know.”
Her strokes become harder and faster. Despite how much I hate this situation, I love the feel of her hand around my cock. Shit. I can’t stop her now.
I’m on the edge of release.
“Fuck . . . woman. Fu—ck!” And I come.
It’s explosive.
My cum splashes on her hands and my royal suit. The smell of semen fills the air around us.
The fact that she made me orgasm should disgust me, but it doesn’t. In fact, I fucking love it.
“Oh, my king.” She leans in and whispers in my ear, “Love me or hate me, I’m already on your mind. I win. You lose.”
My jaw tightens. I take a sharp breath.
She had to say that. She really had to say that.
Without hesitation, I grab her elbows and pull her close to me.
“I don’t mind losing if it’s with you, woman,” I say, finally letting those words out from my stubborn subconscious mind.
***
My eyes snap open at the sound of birds chirping nearby.
I’m disoriented at first, but as my surroundings become clearer, I realize I’m back in my chamber, on my bed, not in that damn throne room where a woman just dominated me.
Hell.
I hate being dominated. I'm the Alpha King after all.
But, on the bright side, the woman in my dream isn't just any woman.
It’s Serena.
My true mate, my official queen, and my luna.
And this isn’t a dream. I’m in reality; a reality I’ve come to enjoy and love.
With a grin, I slowly turn to face her. She’s still sleeping so peacefully beside me—so beautiful and so perfect. And she’s mine. All mine.
Still feeling hot and bothered by my erotic dream, my cock hardens and pokes her waist.
She may be sleeping soundly now, but not for long. I plan to be the dominant one this morning, giving us both a few orgasms before I attend the leaders’ meeting in Agotta.
***
I sit silently at a round table, waiting for the rest of the leaders to take their seats. Queen Adna is already with me, sitting at my right, while the King of Sattus sits at my left.
They’re the two leaders who can vouch for me. The third one, Lady Yllana, who now shows her older skin, gives me a look across the table and nods, telling me it’s time.
Time for what?
Well, time for all the leaders to know what happened in the Baltic Meadows a month after the great battle between the Kingdoms of Phanteon and Ehnrelil.
All the leaders are present, and this includes Governor Marius dela Forte of Earth. We exchange brief introductory stares before I turn my attention to the High Witch.
“Everyone, thank you for your presence here today,” Lady Yllana begins.
“Agotta, the realm of the witches, warmly welcomes you and hopes you enjoy your two-day stay here.
“As a neutral faction ever since the realms were created, I decided to host this meeting for several reasons:
“One, to understand the situation in Ehnrelil—the late King Geraden’s betrayal and schemes.
“Two, to understand the situation leading to the events of the great war between Phanteon and Ehnrelil.
“Three, to discuss more about transparency between realms and the strengthening of the bond between each realm.
“Four, the case of this mating system our realms have; and lastly, the introduction of a new representative of Earth.”
Her head turns to the fae queen as she says, “Queen Adna, you may proceed.”
The one addressed stands up as regally as she always does, with her golden long hair flowing and her fae garb shimmering.
I’m not a fan of the shimmering, so I shut my eyes and listen to her story.
“Listen up, everyone. I’m going to tell you about Ehnrelil’s downfall,” she starts, her voice like a soft melody.
She begins with Geraden’s betrayal, how he killed his own brother—the King of Ehnrelil and her mate—with his daughter’s help.
Then she tells us how he made the murder look like a werewolf did it... specifically General Halcynos, because he had a personal grudge against him.
I can feel the leaders’ eyes on me at this point, but I just ignore them. It’s the general’s story to tell, not mine.
Queen Adna goes on to say that Geraden poisoned the minds of the fae people, starting with her and the high elders.
He used the kingdom’s grief and anger to his advantage, stirring up a war against my kingdom.
His hatred for werewolves and lycans was so strong that he wanted my kind wiped out, even if it meant sacrificing his own people.
What a petty bastard.
Queen Adna brings up Serena too, or Ysanna in their language. She speaks so highly of my mate that I can’t help but smile.
Of course, I think to myself, my mate was the savior they needed.
“I admit, I’ve been weak and vulnerable since my mate, King Alduin, died,” she says, her voice tinged with sadness. “And because of this, Geraden easily manipulated me.”
“My mistake almost cost my people their lives, and that’s not acceptable. I should have stayed strong, and I shouldn’t have let him fool me.”
She’s right, and I respect her for admitting her mistakes. I would probably have lost my mind if my queen had met the same fate.
“Serena, the new queen of Ehnrelil and the current queen of Phanteon, pulled me out of Geraden’s darkness,” Queen Adna continues.
“And with King Aero’s help,”—I feel her hand on my shoulder, and I look up—“the fae kingdom is saved.”
“I was just supporting my wife like a mate should,” I reply, sitting up straighter.
“Serena, as you all know, is part werewolf and part fae. She lives in two worlds, and she loves her dual identity. It’s thanks to her that Phanteon and Ehnrelil were saved.”
“You’re lucky to have such a strong, beautiful queen, Your Majesty,” Hale chimes in, looking at me with amusement in his bloodshot eyes.
Damn him. He just had to remind me of his role in the war.
He had injured so many faes at that time that some of my wolves complained about it—complained about not getting their share of the fun, that is.
I shoot him a look that’s almost a glare and reply, “Yes, I am.”
′And she’s mine forever. Find your own woman.′ I want to add, but I hold back. I’m surrounded by VIPs, after all.
Even though they know about the tension between werewolves and vampires, I still have to behave myself.
“Thank you for your statements, Queen Adna, King Aero,” says Lord Mage Aizen, my close mage friend, as he stands up.
He’s wearing his official mage robe of emerald green and black—it’s too majestic for my taste, but with his dark hair loose, he looks like a brooding mage who didn’t get lucky last night.
“Now, to continue, the events in their kingdoms have taught us a valuable lesson. We need to strengthen the bond between realms. We can’t let this happen again.”
He places both of his hands on the table and it suddenly glows with blue and yellow light.
As always, he likes visuals in his presentations, and that’s what he’s doing now as he quickly goes over the history of our realms.
“We all know that our realms were created not a millennium ago.”
A spark of gold and silver appears in the center of the round table as the room’s light dims. Then the spark transforms into a galaxy.
“We all have our own stories about our first ancestors—if applicable—but we all agree that we used to live in one big world.”
If applicable, he says, because most of the ancestors are still alive today.
We’re not sure if they’re immortal—like Lady Yllana, Prince Andrei’s busy father, Lord Mage Aizen himself, the King of Sattus, and Lord Jacobi’s elusive queen, Queen Demantha.
But it’s generally understood that they’ll eventually pass their responsibilities on to their successors.
“In the beginning, we lived together in harmony, but differences come with a price,” Lord Mage Aizen continues.
“The humans started to envy us supernatural beings, and misunderstandings arose between creatures. This created a divide in all relationships.
“To solve this, we all agreed to create our own homes, places where we could be free and be ourselves. And so, the pillars for the realms were created.”
Pillars, yes.
Literal, glowing ones.
The first ancestors, along with the current rulers and representatives—King Lucien, Queen Adna, Marius dela Forte, Lord Hale, and I—maintain the pillars.
With our powers, we keep the pillars standing and, in turn, protect the balance between our worlds.
One of those pillars is in the highest tower of Phanteon’s castle. My father used his powers to maintain it while he was alive, and now that responsibility is mine.
Lord Mage Aizen looks at Hale and me and continues, “This is why our bond needs to be stronger. As much as we’d like to, we can’t exist alone.
“We each have a role in supporting and protecting our homes... our kingdoms. We can’t let a battle like that happen again.”
“We all understand the importance of this,” I say seriously, “but our people probably don’t. At least, not all of them. That’s why I think it’s our responsibility to make them understand.
“Geraden and Nevannir are prime examples of misguided faes. They were so consumed by their desire to be kings and rule a superior kingdom that they didn’t see how their quarrels with Phanteon would only lead to their downfall.”
“We need to be on the lookout for people like them. Stay alert, recognize the signs of danger, and always be one—or better yet, a hundred—steps ahead.”
“You’re right, Your Majesty,” King Lucien agrees. “As leaders, we need to watch over our people with caution, but also with trust and a level head.”
“Trust is a rare commodity where I come from, King Lucien,” Hale points out, which isn’t surprising. Everyone knows he’s been struggling with the human-slave-trading issue in his territory.
Normally, this would have set off alarm bells for all of us, but we trust that he’s got everything under control, except for this one problem that’s been consuming him for years. It’s his undoing.
“And in my realm as well,” Prince Andrei interrupts, pulling me from my thoughts. His demon realm is always in turmoil. It’s home to a lot of sick, twisted creatures.
“We know, Prince Andrei, Lord Hale,” Lady Yllana says. “That’s why open communication is crucial. If you need our help, don’t hesitate to ask.”
“All in favor of this, please raise your hand,” Lord Mage Aizen calls out, his hand already in the air.
We all follow suit, our eyes filled with determination.
“Good,” he nods. “We’ll come up with a foolproof plan tomorrow. For now, let’s move on with the rest of the agenda.”
“Yes,” Lady Yllana stands up again. “Next, we all know about King Aero’s hatred of women and the recent discovery of his true mate, which led to a change of heart.
“His journey to love has spanned realms and inspired many. This leads us to discuss the mating system of the Universe.”
“We don’t have solid proof of how this system works, Lady Yllana,” Lord Jacobi reminds her.
A crack appears in her usually composed façade, revealing her sadness. She has her own history with this mate bond thing, but I didn’t pay attention when Elijah mentioned it to me.
“I know, and I suppose it’s safer to say it’s best left as a mystery,” she continues.
“The Universe itself is a mystery. No one knows if or how it chooses two individuals to be mates, but we still need to look for clues.”
“Like King Aero and Queen Serena’s crescent moon tattoos on their wrists. That’s solid evidence,” the King of Sattus chimes in.
“Excellent point, Your Highness,” Lady Yllana replies, giving him a pleased smile.
“However, their situation is unique, unless...” she turns to look at me with a raised eyebrow, “this is happening in your kingdom, Your Majesty?”
“Not that I’m aware of,” I answer tersely, “but I’ll look into it.”
I never gave much thought to the crescent moon tattoos. I always assumed they were unique to Serena and me. But with Lady Yllana bringing it up, I might need to investigate further.
“This is something we need to figure out in our respective realms,” Lord Mage Aizen says, his hands clasped on the table.
“Agreed,” King Lucien seconds. “Once we understand the mating system in each realm, we can share our findings here.”
“That’s sound advice, Your Majesty,” Queen Adna says, her mint-green eyes twinkling with longing for the late King Alduin, no doubt.
“This topic is hereby tabled,” Lady Yllana announces, banging the gavel like a judge delivering a verdict.
“Now, for our final item—Governor Marius, the floor is yours.”
I watch as he stands up and straightens his coat. I’ve been on the council long enough to witness his journey.
I was here when he was first introduced to us decades ago, and I’ve seen his contributions to the realms, especially in Serena’s life as a human. It’ll be sad to see him go, but it’s for the best.
He’s getting too old for this job—and I mean that in Earth years.
“Everyone, my time as the representative of Earth has come to an end.” He squares his shoulders and looks each of us in the eye.
“I’ve served my world and the realms for the past forty years with progress. I have no regrets about stepping down now.
“To succeed me, I introduce you to Viscount Daniel Bishop, Viscount of Everdeen in the United Kingdom and a prominent man of his time.”
He turns and gestures for someone to enter. From another room, a tall man, obviously younger than the governor, steps in. He’s dressed in a full suit and polished boots.
He gives us all a tight-lipped smile that’s all business.
The viscount stands beside the governor, exuding confidence. I can tell right away he’s nothing like the down-to-earth Marius.
Plus, he smells of chemicals and fuel. Two things I find repulsive whenever I visit Earth.
“I assume you’ve taught him everything he needs to know about us, Marius?” Lord Jacobi asks, scrutinizing the new representative.
“Yes, Lord Jacobi, he’s well-informed.” The governor nods.
“Please, allow me to introduce myself.” The viscount raises a hand and dips his head slightly.
“I am Daniel Bishop, Viscount of Everdeen, but you can drop the title. I’m here to serve the realms. I’m honored to be the next representative of Terranis.”
“Good. Welcome to the circle, Viscount Daniel. We wish you the best in your new role,” Lord Jacobi replies.
He stands and approaches him, passing Lady Yllana and Lord Mage Aizen to reach him.
“Thank you, Lord Jacobi.” Viscount Daniel dips his head again as they shake hands.
The others opt for a quick nod in his direction. I follow suit.
New faces mean change, and change means trust. He has to show me he's worth it before I can trust him.
The rest of the meeting is a blur of pointless chatter, mostly about the new Earth representative. I tune it out. I'm more interested in what my beautiful wife is up to in Ehnrelil.
“Serena, fancy keeping your husband company?” I send a mind-link, keeping my grin hidden from the leaders in front of me.
“Hmm... already bored, my king?” she shoots back in no time.
“Like you wouldn't believe,” I reply.
“Well, I hate to break it to you, but I can’t help. I’m a little tied up here.”
From the background, I catch the sound of her footsteps echoing on a hard floor. It paints a picture in my mind of her inside Ehnrelil’s crystal palace, or somewhere similar.
“Where are you?” I ask, curiosity piqued about her location. Then I hear two male voices in the background. My brow furrows.
“Serena? Who are you with?”
‘I’m sorry, Aero, but I have to go. We’ll talk later.’
Just like that, she shuts me out of her mind.
I mutter under my breath, drawing suspicious glances from Queen Adna and the King of Sattus.
Damn...
When will this meeting finally be over?
