Four friends head into summer break thinking they’ve signed up for sunshine, freedom, and carefree fun. But one cabin, one bed, and three weeks together spark something none of them planned. What begins as laughter, late nights, and heat quickly stirs into something deeper—an intoxicating bond that feels both thrilling and terrifying. Once the summer ends, reality looms, but their hearts and bodies can’t seem to let go of what they discovered. Friendship blurs into passion, and passion dares to feel like something more. Is this just a fleeting summer escape, or are they building something that could outlast the season?
It Was Nothing, Right?
CHLOE
The Jeep’s engine roared as the highway stretched out ahead, shimmering in the summer heat. Chloe sucked in a breath, clutching the edge of her seat as a smirk tugged her full lips to the side.
Her dark hair blew across her face, hiding the flush on her olive skin as her boyfriend, Spence, pulled her damp panties aside, slipping his fingers inside her.
She threw her head back against the seat, arching her back as the afternoon sun burned down on her from the outside—and his skilled fingers made sure her core burned from the inside.
Chloe bit down on her lip to silence her moans as her eyes went to the driver of the Jeep, Nate, her best friend’s boyfriend.
He was singing off-key with Alexis, belting out the lyrics to a song she usually enjoyed, but all she could concentrate on was Spence’s finger inside her.
He was an expert when it came to her orgasm. Every time they broke up over something stupid, they came back because she couldn’t stand going for any period without his body releasing hers.
Chloe had only just taken him back, and she was still enjoying making up for lost time, even if it meant him fingering her in the back of her friend’s Jeep.
“Chloe, we need your husky voice, babe. The chorus isn’t going to harmonize itself!” Alexis called over the rushing wind and booming bass from the front seat.
Spence smirked, the wind tousling his dirty-blond hair, and looked out the window, his fingers still fucking her so hard she could barely breathe through the tightness claiming her.
But she had to reply, or Alexis was so going to look back and bust them.
Chloe gasped against her hand before chuckling, trying to fight her orgasm back so she could reply. Spence stroked her harder. Holy fuck, she was going to combust.
Her hips bucked against him as he joined in, singing to hide her loss of voice.
“I…can’t remember the words,” Chloe urged out, straining against Spence’s hand as her body climbed higher and higher, the pressure tighter and tighter.
Her mind was void of any words except fuck me harder.
Alexis ignored her and kept singing, carrying the tune for all of them as Nate looked back from the driver’s seat quickly.
She wasn’t sure why he looked back, but it didn’t matter because his intense eyes locked with hers before she could think to look away.
Nate’s cheeks flushed before he grinned, winking at her before turning back to the road as if he hadn’t seen anything, his dark-brown hair blowing in the warm breeze from the window.
Chloe turned back to Spencer, but it took her a second longer than it should have.
Chloe was grateful Nate hadn’t exposed her to Alexis, who would never let her live it down, or at least not let her cum.
Nate joined in singing with Alexis as Spence looked over at her, adding another finger and thrusting them inside her with rough strokes before massaging her clit.
She only just held back her moan. She leaned over and gripped Spence’s shirt, pulling him in and covering his mouth with hers.
His tongue slid along hers, his body leaning over hers as he took her to the edge, pushing her over it with a flick of her sensitive nub.
She arched into him, moaning into his mouth as her body quivered, wave after wave of pleasure crashing through her.
Her fingers brushed against his hardness as he sucked in a breath against her. She nibbled on his lip, her breaths still playing catch-up as her body burned in the aftermath.
“We should stop for a bathroom break,” she breathed.
Spence grinned, his blue eyes sparkling. “Public bathroom, Chlo? Now what would a psychologist say about that behavior?” he teased, as he usually did, because he didn’t see her major at NYU as a good choice.
She brushed it off because she was still high on his touch, but it would get to her later.
“She would say that sex is a part of human nature and we should listen to our body’s urges,” she smirked back, kissing him again, running her tongue over his, teasing him through his shorts with her chipped, black-painted nails.
“Then you better convince your girl to add another bathroom stop into the schedule,” he grinned, kissing her back.
Chloe laughed and looked toward Alexis.
Alexis was a list person, a routine person, an itinerary person, and despite it being a relaxing road trip out to Chloe’s uncle’s cabin on the lake for the summer, Alexis wasn’t big on changing those parts of her personality.
Chloe sat up and readjusted her skirt, clearing her throat.
“Lexie, how long until the next pit stop?” Chloe asked.
Alexis flipped her blonde hair out of the way, turned the radio down, and checked her folder. “Not for another twenty minutes. Why?”
“Yeah, I’m not going to be able to hold it for another twenty minutes, babe. Can we stop at the next town?” Chloe said, looking over at Spence, who had his ankle crossed over his leg to hide his waiting erection.
Alexis slammed her folder shut and looked back, narrowing her eyes on Chloe.
“I told you to go to the bathroom at the last stop. I knew this would happen.” She rolled her eyes. Nate placed his hand on her thigh with a smirk.
“It’s fine, Lex. We’re ahead of schedule, and I could do with some food and drink anyway,” he convinced, and Chloe eyed him, wondering if he had worked out their real reason for asking.
Alexis snapped out a “fine,” and Chloe got her answer, because Nate winked at her. Best wingman ever.
Alexis was gorgeous and amazing and the best friend anyone could ask for, but she was high-maintenance as fuck, and there was no way she would say yes to stopping if she knew it was to fuck in a gross public bathroom.
So Chloe grinned at Nate and mouthed a thank-you, then looked over at Spence. He leaned over and kissed her hard. Her body ignited again, and the stop couldn’t come quick enough.
Spence’s body was one of those drool-worthy bodies that made you wonder how the fuck he hadn’t flunked out of college when he spent all his time in the gym.
Then again, when you were the varsity football team’s star quarterback, nobody was checking your GPA too closely.
He was the perfect “jock” stereotype, and even though they had absolutely nothing in common, Chloe’s body was desperate for his whenever they were close.
They had been fucking and dating on and off since they were in high school, and Chloe still couldn’t get enough.
Nate parked the car at the next gas station and got out with Alexis as Spence dragged Chloe to the bathrooms around the side of the building. He opened the door, and she went inside as he locked the door behind them.
Spence was in her in seconds, his mouth covering hers as she wrapped her arms around his neck and he gripped her waist in his rough grasp.
Chloe clutched his dirty-blond hair in her fist as his mouth had her body melting against him.
He pushed her against the vanity, yanking her denim jacket from her body as she reached for the button of his shorts.
Chloe gasped against his mouth as he gripped her breast through the flimsy white fabric of her crop. She hadn’t worn a bra, and her nipple strained against his grip.
He tugged at it, and she sighed, rolling her neck to the side as his mouth covered the supple flesh there.
Chloe pulled his dick from his pants, the silky hardness already leaking with want.
She stroked him, and he groaned against her, pulling at her breasts harder before reaching beneath her skirt and tugging at her underwear.
“Get these off,” he said in frustration, and she pulled them from her legs.
He tucked them into his shorts, then stepped between her legs, gripping her ass and pulling her toward his length.
She gave him a few more strokes before he gripped her thighs and slid inside her with a powerful thrust that had her crying out and clutching the vanity.
He grunted as she lifted her hips against his.
Her entire body was caving, succumbing to his dick as he worked her pussy like he could read her mind.
He stroked her hard and fast, over and over again, racing to the finish line, her entire body being manipulated between the vanity and his dick.
Chloe moaned, her head hanging back, sweat beading all over her as he lifted her higher so he could fall deeper inside her, and her body almost broke.
She clutched his forearm, which was huge and toned from the insane weights he pumped, and the feel of his muscles straining with each thrust had her falling over the edge.
She reached up and buried her face against him, her breasts pressing against his chest as he held the back of her head, fucking harder, his body covering hers.
Chloe shook, her body swarming in a prickly heat that had every sensation peaking in her core, her orgasm so intense she bit into his sweating skin.
Spence groaned out loud, his body shaking, his thrusts spasming against her walls as he let himself go, his hot seed filling her up with the jerks of his thick cock inside her.
Chloe panted against him as he leaned against her, catching his breath.
“You always feel so good, baby,” he whispered, kissing along her neck and then down her shoulder.
Chloe grinned and leaned back.
“Shut up. Every pussy feels good. I’m just accessible.”
She smirked, knowing that he went elsewhere on their off periods, just like she did.
They always came back to each other, but she hated it when he said things she had heard him say to other girls.
He grinned and handed back her underwear, pulling out of her and doing up his shorts.
“Not true. You know your pussy is the only one that would ever get me fucking in a public toilet at some back road, middle-of-nowhere gas station. I wouldn’t risk catching anything for anyone else but you,” he teased.
She put her underwear back on and kissed him. “Okay, I’ll take that one.”
She hung her jacket over her arm and checked herself in the mirror.
She knew that what they shared was physical, and beyond that, their relationship was as shallow as a wading pool.
But she was in college and wasn’t looking for a husband, just some fun, so she let him have way more chances than she should have.
Chloe fixed her dark, wavy hair, and then turned to him as he tamed his dark-blond strands in the mirror. He was as into himself and his appearance as she was.
It wasn’t exactly a turn-on, but the fact that he could lift her—all five feet of her—and fuck her standing with one arm was, so she let his giant ego go.
She unlocked the bathroom door and left as he followed, heading for the gas station to get a drink to rehydrate after sweating everything out.
She led him out into the blinding afternoon sun, her mind suddenly drifting back to the rearview mirror. To Nate’s eyes on hers, and the grin he’d flashed before turning away. She shook it off. It was nothing, right?
