JESSE
“Yes, yes, yes! Jesse! Yes!” Nina Edgewater cried out as I continued to drive into her from behind.
Normally, I liked it when women screamed my name while I was taking them over my desk. However, something had changed recently. I was starting to get bored by the constant string of women I had coming through my office each day. The routine was becoming monotonous.

I sighed. “Probably never at the rate I’m tearing through the moms at this school.”
Wesley chuckled. “Trust me. When the right one comes along, it’ll be at the least expected moment. You’ll know.”
I rolled my eyes. “Not sure how my phone call turned into a Hallmark movie script, but the real reason I called was to see if you were working tonight so I could stop by the firehouse and get a good gym session in.”
“You that desperate for sex? Need to work out your frustration?”
If you only knew the amount of unsatisfying sex I’d been having lately.
“I’m working tonight. Stop by whenever after six,” he said.
I ended the call just as my administrative assistant buzzed through, informing me that Diego Torres and his mom, Mrs. Torres, had arrived for their three o’clock appointment.
“Thanks, Kate. Send them in.”
I quickly tidied up my desk, organizing the chaos left behind by Nina Edgewater’s earlier visit. When I finally glanced up, Mrs. Torres and Diego were seated across from me.
My attention first fell on Diego, a twelve-year-old boy with shaggy brown hair and nervous, round brown eyes that peered back at me. I hadn’t seen him in my office before, and I couldn’t recall spotting him around the school’s campus either. This must be his first run-in with trouble since I took over as principal five years ago.
Then, I turned to Mrs. Torres.
