Willow’s cheeky imagination just made her famous. When her spicy short story wins a national contest, she’s thrust into the spotlight as the mysterious new voice behind a wildly popular sex column. There’s only one tiny detail her readers don’t know—Willow’s never actually done any of the things she writes about. Not. One. Thing. Now she’s juggling fame, secrecy, and a whole campus full of curious classmates dying to unmask the girl behind the words. As the pressure heats up, so does her double life. Can she keep her secret intact—or will fantasy and reality collide in the most deliciously awkward way possible?

Chapter 1: Meet the Real You

The blindfold over Piper’s eyes was a thick, heavy velvet band blocking out any and all light. She could feel air, thick with the scent of candles, drift in and out of the sheer fabric of her dress.
She wasn’t wearing anything underneath, and the exposure made her skin tingle.
“Are you ready?” The puppet master’s sultry voice made her jump as the warmth from his body wrapped around hers.
“F-for what?”
His evil chuckle infiltrated her chest and tumbled down into her belly, making all the butterflies flutter at once. “To meet yourself.” His lips stopped right next to the shell of her ear. “The real you.”
He slid his hands down her arms, leaving goosebumps along the way, till he reached her wrists. Two cuffs were fastened around them, pinning her arms behind her back and rendering her immobile.
Without warning, the blindfold was lifted from her eyes, and she sucked in a gasp. The dress Piper wore wasn’t even a little bit see-through—it was completely mesh, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination.
A huge, floor-length mirror with a gilded frame sat in front of her, reflecting every inch of her body back to her from her hardened nipples down to her freshly waxed pussy.
She never so much as looked at herself naked in the privacy of her home. This was nearly unbearable. The flush in her face felt like fire as she looked up, down, anywhere but at the woman in the mirror.
The puppet master chuckled again as he reached from behind and lifted her face so her eyes met his in the mirror. “Don’t look away, Piper. This is you. You are a woman. A woman who wants power, control, to feel desired. You want to be seen, not overlooked. You came to me a virgin, and you will leave a sexual goddess.”
“I-I can’t. I don’t know how,” she stammered, her discomfort reaching new heights.
“That’s what they’re here for,” he said.
The curtain on either side of the gilded mirror opened, revealing a plethora of stunning men and women. The only thing they wore was black lace masks that covered their eyes and noses but left their mouths free. Every single one of them was smiling.
“What do you mean?” Piper asked, horrified but unable to ignore the intrigue growing in her gut.
“They are your consort, your guides between the woman you are and the one you wish to be,” the puppet master said. “When you came to me, asking for help, you wanted to be free of your reservations, your doubts.
“You were tired of living under the radar, never being noticed, never being loved.” He circled around her. A lion hunting its prey.
“It’s time for you to be bold. To take what you want,” he said. “Now, which one should put their tongue in you first? Do you want to choose, or should I?”
Piper froze.“I…I can’t. I’ve never even kissed someone. I wouldn’t—”
Her words were cut off when the puppet master grabbed her head and slammed his mouth onto hers. It was jarring at first; she didn’t know how to move her lips or where to put her tongue.
But he took over, like he had taken over her whole life during the last week, and practically swallowed her.
With her brain shutting down and the heat beating wildly between her legs, she melted into his body, his scent, and let him explore every inch of her mouth. When he pulled back, his lips were swollen and she was out of breath.
“Now you have,” he said as he licked his lips. “And you taste divine.” He turned back to the audience. “River!”
A large, muscular man covered from neck to knees in tattoos stood, his ferociously large dick erect as he walked over. There wasn’t an ounce of trepidation or embarrassment in his eyes as they roamed up and down Piper’s body.
The puppet master playfully grabbed River’s shoulder. “What do you think? Should I ask River to eat your pussy?”
Piper’s cheeks burned as if her blood was molten. “I…I…”
The puppet master folded his arms across his chest. “Let me ask you something else, Piper. Do you find River attractive?”
Her eyes flicked to River, skimming over the hard angles and muscular planes of his taut body before landing on the feral grin spreading over his face. Not to mention, that dick. Hard. Erect. For her.
“Yes,” she said as she felt her nipples immediately harden following the admission.
The two men grinned as they exchanged a glance. The puppet master nodded, and River knelt between Piper’s legs. He was so large that even kneeling before her, his face was perfectly level with her core.
“I…I haven’t showered,” she said, looking to give this man any excuse not to do what they were suggesting, to put his tongue on her most intimate part.
She could say no. The puppet master had made it explicitly clear that consent was always on the table, able to be given and taken away at any time. But something stopped her. She wanted it, but her embarrassment was suffocating.
River leaned forward, taking a deep breath in through his nostrils. His mouth fell open in a pleasurable sigh, his hot breath skating over her delicate skin. “You smell heavenly, Kitten. May I?”
Something about having this man on his knees before her, asking to taste her, made Piper’s core burn even hotter. She bit her lip and nodded, so slight she wasn’t sure he would see it. River leaned forward with agonizing slowness to claim his taste.
“Willow! There you are. I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”
I slam the lid of my laptop closed, feeling the flush take over my face as my roommate, Beth, plops down next to me in the library of Pemberton University.
“Oh! Hey, what’s up?!” I say, my voice higher than I intend.
Beth narrows her eyes at me. “What are you so jumpy for? Were you looking at porn or something?”
She goes to lift the lid of my laptop, but I throw my arm on top of it before looking around nervously. “Keep your voice down! Of course I wasn’t looking at…that!” I hiss.
Beth grabs her stomach and laughs. “Come on, Willow! I’m just kidding. You’re the last person I would expect to be watching that!”
I should feel relief, but instead a small, painful spark lights in my chest. Even my closest friend knows how naive I am.
It makes me want to throw my laptop open and show her the story I have been working on, how raw and provocative I’m capable of being, but something stops me. After shoving my laptop in my bag, we stand and leave the library together.
“What are you working on anyway? School hasn’t even started yet,” she says. “Don’t tell me you actually got a hold of a homework assignment before classes begin?”
I laugh. If only she knew. “Um, just a story for a contest. Nothing exciting.”
As Beth and I are walking through the quad, making plans for the finale of our favorite reality show this weekend, I hear the warning a split second before it hits me. “Look out!”
Wham!
Something slams into the side of my face with such force I go tumbling to the concrete. Thankfully, I’m able to stop my head from slamming into the ground, but my hip and shoulder screech in pain from the impact.
“Willow!” I hear Beth’s voice, but my eyes are still screwed shut as my brain attempts to decipher which pain to focus on first.
The sound of shoes slapping the concrete approaches quickly. “Oh shit, right to the dome!” a male voice says without a hint of sympathy.
“Don’t be an asshole, Shane,” another male voice snaps a quiet warning.
I start feeling around for my glasses, which must’ve flown off my face.
Suddenly, the second voice is much closer and full of concern. “Are you okay?”
Strong hands grip my arms, secure yet gentle, and steady me. Then fingers with calluses on the ends push my hair back from my face and grab my chin gently. “You might have a decent bruise on your face,” he says softly. “Still pretty though.”
My eyes finally focus without my glasses, settling on the source of the voice, and immediately, a flush blooms on my face and neck.
Aiden Callahan is everything. His height and confidence fill every room, but his wide, gorgeous smile could make you think you are the only two people in it.
Everyone knows him as the captain of Pemberton’s infamous and successful soccer team as well as the most gorgeous man in the entire school. Having his attention on me feels like a bright light I can’t look directly at.
I am just staring, mouth agape, when Beth’s voice finally breaks my stupor. “Willow? Are you okay?”
Aiden’s smile widens, and my heart stutters. “Willow, huh? I like that,” he says. “I’m Aiden.”
“Oh, um, right,” I say softly, feeling around for my glasses.
He holds them up in front of me. “May I?” With the same soft attentiveness, he places them on my face, then sweeps my hair back. “You ready to stand, or do you want me to sit down here with you another minute?”
My flush deepens as I realize I’m still sitting on the ground with dozens of people watching Aiden Callahan attend to me. “Oh God, no, I’m fine. Totally fine!” I say quickly as I launch to my feet. The head rush hits me like a bucket of ice water, and I start to sway, nearly falling back over.
“Whoa, take it easy,” he says as he steadies me with his hands.
“Yeah, um, thanks,” I stammer, acutely aware of everywhere Aiden Callahan’s skin connects with mine. “Did…did you hit me with a soccer ball?”
He grimaces. “One of my teammates did,” he says as his friend grabs the ball and runs back to the group on the quad. “Sorry about that. Are you hurt anywhere else?”
He grabs my hands and holds them up to examine them. “No, I’m fine, really,” I say, sliding out of his grip.
People finally begin to disperse as I beg my pulse to return to normal. Beth hands me my bag. We pause, an awkward silence hanging between us a few moments too long. “Well, bye,” I say, turning away.
“Hey, wait,” he says. “Um, what are you up to tonight?”
I lift a confused eyebrow. “Oh, uh, we’re watching the finale of—”
“Nothing! She’s not doing anything!” Beth cuts in.
Aiden’s smile returns. “Well, my buddy is having a party tonight. Do you want to come? You can bring your friend,” he says, gesturing to Beth. “We’ll leave the soccer balls at home.”
“Oh, um, we can’t—”
“Please?” he says as he steps a little closer to me. “I’d like to make it up to you.” His questioning eyes and the smirk tugging at his lips send a shiver down my spine.
“We’d LOVE to,” Beth says, grabbing my arm and pinching hard.
“Ouch!”
“Great, it’s at 2355 Grant Street.” He beams.
“Aiden! Let’s go! Coach will shred us for being late!” his teammate calls from the quad.
“I gotta go. Nice to meet you, Willow,” he says before turning to jog away. “See you tonight!”
I turn to Beth, my heart beating wildly out of control again. “Why did you say we would go?!” I ask.
Beth wiggles her eyebrows. “Because we are! Come on, let’s go figure out what we’re gonna wear.”
