I found myself in a bar, surrounded by people enjoying themselves while I drowned my sorrows in drink after drink. It was early for a bar, but I didn’t give a damn.
I could feel the curious glances thrown my way. A man in a tux, drinking like there’s no tomorrow, wasn’t exactly a common sight at this hour.
Well, screw them. I had my reasons.
“Keep ’em coming,” I called to the bartender, my foot tapping in time with the faint music playing in the background.
“You better have a ride back home, young man.” The bartender set down another drink, concern etching his face. I scoffed. I had no one to drive me home, no one to love me.
“One Long Island iced tea, please.” A sultry voice sounded beside me, accompanied by a sweet, floral scent.
I continued to sip my drink, noticing the woman who had taken the seat next to me. She was engrossed in her phone, her long fingers with red-painted nails tapping away.
From the corner of my eye, I saw her chestnut brown hair, falling to her shoulders, hiding her face. She wore a red dress that ended at her thighs.
“Some wedding, huh?” The same sultry voice broke my reverie. I turned to find her looking at me. I blinked, trying to clear my blurred vision.
Damn, she was stunning. Her big hazel eyes and plump, red lips—matching her dress—were captivating.
“Hello?” She waved her hand in front of my face, pulling me out of my stupor.
Shit, she must think I’m some kind of creep.
“Uhh...Is it that obvious?” I muttered, focusing on my drink.
“Yeah, you’re bringing down the whole bar.” Her voice held a hint of humor, causing me to raise an eyebrow at her audacious tone.
“Let me guess, you’re in love with the bride.” She continued, and I jerked my head towards her in surprise.
How did she know?
“Or the groom. No judgments here,” she added, making me chuckle.
“I’m not gay,” I replied dryly, loosening my tie.
“Kinda figured that when you were staring at me for a good thirty seconds,” she smirked, and I let out a sigh.
Damn, she was good.
“Well, you guessed it right. I’m in love with a girl who can never be mine.” I sighed, and for some reason, it felt good to confess to a stranger.
“Why go to her wedding in the first place?” she asked, looking at me like I was insane.
“She’s my best friend,” I stated, and her eyes widened.
“Damn, that must be brutal.” She played with the straw in her drink.
“No shit.” I scoffed and looked at her. She crossed her legs, revealing more of her smooth skin. My body reacted instantly, and a wild idea popped into my head.
“I know this is going to sound crazy, but do you want to fuck?” I asked, without any shame. She seemed taken aback by my bluntness.
“Wow, that was quick.” She flipped her hair, giving me a glimpse of her cleavage. I needed a distraction, and the drinks weren’t doing it.
“I don’t hear you saying no,” I smirked. She bit her lip, seemingly contemplating my offer.
“Come on, I just want to get her off my mind. We don’t even have to know each other. I’ll probably forget about this whole thing in the morning.
“It’s just a one-time thing,” I urged, trying to convince her. She got up from her seat and moved closer to me.
Damn, she was tempting!
“Follow me,” she whispered in my ear and walked away.
That was unexpected.
I followed her like a lost puppy, watching her sexy sway as she walked ahead of me. I felt myself harden. This was the distraction I needed.
We reached the parking lot and got into her car. I was too drunk to process what was happening. I didn’t even know if this was right, but I didn’t care.
“You want to do it in the car?” I asked, curious.
“Gross, we’re going to my apartment,” she rolled her eyes and started the car while I leaned back on the seat.
“Today is your lucky day, woman. I’m going to fuck you so hard that no man will ever satisfy you like I do,” I said after a while. She just laughed, shaking her head.
Once we reached her apartment, I pushed her against the wall as soon as she unlocked the door, kicking it closed behind me.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m doing this,” she moaned as I caressed her breasts over her dress, pushing it down to free them while I continued to nibble her earlobes.
Damn, they were perfect and she smelled so intoxicating. I latched onto one of her nipples, rolling my tongue over her erect buds while my left hand pushed her dress up above her ass.
“God, you are so fucking hot,” I groaned, slipping my hand inside her panties which were soaked. She was so damn wet.
Looks like someone has been having naughty thoughts all evening.
She quickly removed my coat and ripped open my shirt, sending buttons flying in all directions. I started to unbuckle my belt and removed my pants.
“Like what you see?” I smirked as she stared at my body, licking her lips.
“You wish. I’ve seen better,” she retorted with a wicked smile, pulling me closer by my ass and giving it a squeeze. I lifted her left leg and placed it around my waist, pushing my arousal against her dripping core.
“Let’s see if you’ve had better than me,” I roared, lifting her by her ass. She instantly wrapped her legs around my waist, her breath coming in hard pants.
“Condom?”
“I’m on the pill,” she breathed out, and that was all I needed to hear. I pushed myself inside her without warning, making her gasp.
“Stay still,” I whispered hoarsely, beginning to move inside her. God, she felt so fucking good and I felt myself losing control inside her.
“Ughh...Faster,” she cried, biting my shoulders, which only turned me on more.
“Fuck,” I grunted as I neared my climax. I was so close. I’ve slept with a lot of girls and had a lot of one-night stands, but there was something different about this one.
It was so fucking raw and erotic. I wanted to keep fucking her because she made me forget about the pain.
We continued to fuck each other like animals, her nails digging into my skin. Soon, I released myself inside her and she followed close behind me.
“That was satisfying, indeed,” she smirked, sexily, and I gently set her down on the floor.
“Told you,” I grinned widely.
“I don’t know why you didn’t get the girl. I mean, you are really attractive and know how to pleasure a woman,” she said, adjusting her dress.
“I can be a real asshole sometimes and I guess our timing was never right,” I replied with a tight smile.
“Well, I sure can tell that she is going to miss all the amazing sex that she could have enjoyed,” she winked, making me chuckle. I realized that I felt better after a long time and looked at her.
“Uhh...I better go and thank you so much. I really needed this,” I ran my hands through my hair and got dressed quickly.
“Do you need a ride or something?” she offered, adjusting her hair, and I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she was. Any guy would be lucky to have her.
I couldn’t picture her as the type to have quick casual sex and for some reason, I believed that this was her first one-night stand.
God, I was really an asshole.
“I’ll get a cab. Good night,” I kissed her cheek.
“Good night and hey, don’t worry, time heals everything,” she said in a soft voice, making me smile before I swiftly exited the door.
Chapter One
I probably deserved to feel this way for taking her for granted.
“Yo, let’s go get some coffee,” Ryan, my best friend, nudged me as I continued to work on my laptop.
“I have work, dude. I need to get the sample designs for our new project done, like now,” I replied, not taking my eyes off the screen.
“Oh right, the new project. I heard that our new project manager is a woman. Can you believe it?” he whispered so that no one could hear us and climbed onto my desk.
“Really?” I asked in shock because we were working in a gaming company and I was a game designer while Ryan worked in the back end.
“Yeah, I hope she is hot. I’m bored of seeing all these dudes and nerdy chicks around this company,” he stated, making me laugh a bit.
“Yeah, whatever,” I shook my head and continued to focus on my work.
“What happened to you, man? I miss the old Nate,”
“Old Nate is no longer available. This Nate here is fucked up,” I replied dryly and he rolled his eyes.
“Are you still hung up on that Rebecca chick?” he asked and I froze, unable to say anything.
“I’m not. Stop bugging me, Ryan,” I muttered in annoyance. Ever since her wedding, I threw myself into work and tried my best to not think about her.
“Jeez, someone has got their panties in a twist,” he teased, punching my arm while I glared at him.
“Girls are throwing themselves at you, man. Just get over her already,”
“I’m not interested in dating.”
“Then, let’s hit the club and find some chicks,” he winked and I let out a huge sigh, knowing he was not going to give up anytime soon.
Phew, that was one hot encounter!
“Boys, get in the conference room. Our project manager should be here any minute now.”
“Time to meet the hot chick,” he whistled and walked in front of me while I dragged my lazy ass towards the conference room.
The room was filled with our entire team which consists of around ten people and I sat down in my seat, already feeling bored out of my mind. I opened my laptop and tried to keep myself busy.
“Hi, Nate.” I looked up at the sound of a familiar voice to see Amy smiling at me from the other side of the room and adjusting her glasses.
She was a nice girl who had a silly crush on me since day one but she was definitely not my type. I smiled back at her just to be polite.
“Why don’t you ask her out?” Ryan’s voice carried across the room, loud enough for her to hear. I retaliated with a swift kick under the table.
“Shut up before I kick your ass,” I warned.
“I’m just looking out for you, jerk,” he whispered back, and I mentally face-palmed myself.
“Now you whisper. Asshole!” I cursed, earning a chuckle from him.
“Guys, our new manager is incredibly talented and excels at what she does,” David began, his voice carrying a note of admiration. “She expects nothing but the best, and I expect all of you to work your asses off to deliver this project successfully.”
David continued to sing praises about this woman, and I was already contemplating ways to escape. I distracted myself by playing Super Mario on my laptop, all the while wondering what was so damn special about this woman. She must be in her late forties or something if she had achieved so much.
Poor Ryan!
“Here she is. Team, I would like to introduce our new project manager, Samantha Perez.” David beamed proudly.
“Fuck,” I muttered under my breath, loosening my tie to breathe a little.
“Mr. Wilson, are you okay?” David asked, concern etched on his face. I smiled, assuring him that everything was fine.
Is this what they call a coincidence?
“Dude, she is smoking hot. Am I dreaming or something? She is so freaking young. I thought she would be around thirty or something,” Ryan gushed beside me while I gave him a nervous smile.
“That’s Nate Wilson, our game designer and the most valuable asset of our company.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Wilson,” she smiled, a knowing look in her eyes that lingered on me a little longer than usual. I returned her smile, albeit tightly, and looked away immediately.
Fuck, nothing makes sense. How could she be my project manager? She looks younger than me and she’s too pretty to be smart.
Okay, that came out wrong, but come on, this was unbelievable.
“Nate, she is literally eye-fucking you, man. Do you know her or something?” Ryan whispered, and my eyes went wide.
“Wh-- what? No, of course not,” I stammered nervously.
“She keeps glancing at you.”
“I can’t help it if I’m good looking, dude,” I mumbled, wiping the beads of sweat on my forehead.
I kept stealing glances at her, and each time, she seemed even hotter than before. She was wearing a sleeveless beige top and a grey pencil skirt that hugged every inch of her body. She looked so poised and sophisticated, nothing like the woman I met at the bar the other day.
I reluctantly peeled my eyes from her smooth olive skin, which brought back sinful memories of that night. I took a deep breath to calm my raging nerves.
Okay, I can do this. She probably doesn’t even remember me.
The rest of the meeting went pretty well. I explained my design confidently, trying my best to pretend she wasn’t in the room. Once I was done with my presentation, I sat back down.
“Alright, team. Everything looks good, and I’m excited to work with each and every one of you. You can go ahead and continue with your work. Uhh...Mr. Wilson, I need to talk about your design. Could you please stay back?”
Fuck! Holy fucking shit! Is she going to fire me or something?
“Sure, Ms. Perez.”
“She totally has the hots for you, dude,” Ryan whispered before leaving the room, leaving us alone.
“You look much better than the last time I saw you,” she smirked, folding her arms in front of her chest. My eyes flicked to her breasts for a split second.
You look much hotter too, I wanted to say but refrained from doing so to keep my job.
“So you remember me,” I stated, running my hands through my hair.
“I should be asking you that. I’m surprised that you remember me given how drunk you were,” she scoffed, and I stood in front of her awkwardly, not knowing what to say.
“Small world, huh?” I laughed, trying to break the tension between us.
“Yeah, small world indeed,” she said, looking at me amusingly.
“Umm...did you really want to talk about the game design?” I asked, just to be clear, and she raised her eyebrows.
“Mr. Wilson, don’t even get the idea that I’m going to treat you any different just because we fucked. We both didn’t see this coming, so let’s just put that behind us,” she replied bluntly.
Damn, what happened to the wild sexy woman? She’s acting so cold and professional. Not that I wanted to sleep with her again or anything...or did I? I mean, it wouldn’t be bad.
“I know. I-- I didn’t mean it like that,” I stuttered like a fool, feeling a bit intimidated by her.
Fuck, I’m acting like a pussy. What’s wrong with me?
“Coming back to the project, your designs suck, Mr. Wilson. I need you to come up with a new design in the next twenty-four hours,” she replied casually and was about to walk past me.
“Excuse me?”
“Do you have a hearing problem?”
“I worked my ass off to come up with that design,” I raised my voice a bit, feeling pissed out of my mind. Who the hell does she think she is? She probably doesn’t know anything about this stuff.
“Well, work harder. I heard some great things about you, so please don’t disappoint me again,” she replied and turned around to walk out of the room, leaving me speechless.
What a bitch!
