The Encounter
Book 5: Cross Over
Natalia
A sense of unease filled the air, as if something ominous had slipped into our midst. Alice, the one we’d been safeguarding all these years, had now set the wheels of the future in motion.
The Conri lineage was about to be revealed, and I had a mission to carry out.
Elder Lexa placed her hand on my shoulder, her voice firm yet gentle.
“We can’t let anyone know we’re still alive, not yet. Do you understand what you need to do?”
“Yes. I have a few weeks before she starts at the university. The humans will believe I’ve been there all along. Their minds are so easy to manipulate.”
It’s not often that I get to control humans; it’s against our laws. We’re supposed to stay hidden among humans and werewolves.
But soon, our cover would be blown, and it was all because of Akasha.
Elder Lexa looked at me with worry in her eyes, but I reassured her that I was ready. I had been preparing for this moment ever since Akasha vanished and we knew war was imminent.
This time, we didn’t want to fight against the werewolves, but alongside them.
They chose me for this task because I’m a woman. A man would have disrupted the bond between Sebastian and Alice.
Werewolves can be incredibly possessive, and the last thing I wanted was for Sebastian to feel threatened by a male vampire working closely with his mate.
I made my way to the university, taking a moment to insert myself into the system. I selected the classes I wanted and ensured I’d be near Alice when she arrived.
With everything set, I headed to my room. My heart pounded in my chest as an unfamiliar scent filled my nostrils, sending a shiver down my spine.
Even though vampires don’t experience the same primal connections as werewolves, we still crave sex. Humans are easy to control; they forget us afterward.
But this unfamiliar scent was teasing my senses, making it hard to concentrate on anything else.
I closed my door and followed the scent. It was like a drug, pulling me toward it. My body hummed with a strange energy, and I wondered if there was another vampire here?
I dismissed the thought as I passed some werewolves; they had no idea who I was. They gave me strange looks, but only because they couldn’t smell me.
The perfume I wore masked my lack of a natural scent, keeping my identity a secret.
I stopped outside a door and realized I had ended up in the guys’ dormitory. My heart pounded harder, the electric sensation between my legs matching its rhythm.
As I bit down to suppress a moan, I could feel my fangs piercing my skin.
Every instinct told me I shouldn’t be doing this. I was supposed to stay hidden, unnoticed.
But here I was, drawn in by a scent I couldn’t resist.
My vampire hearing picked up grunts, and I licked my lips. Whoever was behind the door was pleasuring himself.
My body ached for more, and against my better judgment, I turned the door handle.
Inside was a typical guy’s room. One guy alone, which meant I could erase his memory of me intruding on his private moment.
I raised an eyebrow as I tiptoed inside and closed the door. What on earth was I doing?
The noise paused, and I wondered if he had heard me?
Moving silently, I navigated the room until I reached his bathroom door. It was open.
There stood a guy, pleasuring himself with an intense look of pleasure on his face.
With his eyes closed, his free hand rested on the wall for balance. The grunts that escaped his lips were enough to send me into a frenzy.
His intoxicating scent filled the air. My fangs throbbed with a hunger I could barely control, pushing me to the edge of desperation.
I wanted to sink my teeth into his neck, but I also craved the feel of his cock deep inside me.
As he continued to pleasure himself, my nipples hardened, sending shivers through my body.
A distinct scent lingered in the air, revealing his true nature as a werewolf.
I was both intrigued and confused by this, as he seemed to control my desires.
I ran my tongue over my sharp fangs, releasing a soft moan. In that moment, our eyes met, and everything else faded away.
His grip on his arousal tightened slightly, his chest rising as he took a deep breath.
His primal scent intoxicated me, my arousal reaching its peak, and I knew he could smell me.
A wicked smirk formed on his lips, and he resumed his rhythmic movements. I couldn’t tear my gaze away, captivated by his commanding presence.
Our eyes remained locked as his breathing quickened, his hand moving faster.
When his mouth opened, he let out a groan, and I clenched my legs together.
Shit. I had to hide who I was, but he made it nearly impossible.
My fangs elongated in my mouth and I kept it closed so he wouldn’t see them.
Then he came for me. His gaze never left mine as he spurted cum all over the wall in front of him.
Holy shit!
I needed to get out of there before I lost control of my lust for him. I had to understand what had just happened between us, and why. The silence between us made the encounter even more erotic.
With one last glance at his body, I turned and left his room.
The need to release the pent-up energy surged through me, and my body radiated with heat. When I reached my room, I stripped off and stood under a cold shower.
It did little to help. I lay on my bed and pleasured myself, seeking the release I needed. I closed my eyes and replayed the scene in my mind.
After experiencing two intense orgasms, a sense of calm washed over me.
However, the thought of seeing him again and repeating the experience filled me with apprehension.
How on earth did a werewolf affect me like that?
I’ve been living among humans and had some interactions with a few werewolves, but they were oblivious to my presence.
Now, for him, I needed to find out who he was.
***
A week passed, and I avoided him whenever I sensed him nearby.
Rafel Ashdown, a young werewolf from the Blue Moon Pack.
I had a job to do here, and I wasn’t about to screw it up for a hot-headed werewolf.
Girls fell at his feet. He was a charmer, that much was clear.
By the second week of my stay, I couldn’t avoid him any longer.
I’d been skipping the classes he was in. Today, I swallowed my pride and walked into his class.
Why was I embarrassed? He was the one who had been pleasuring himself for me.
Damn it!
The instructor seemed completely unaware that I hadn’t attended his class before. I slid into a desk, my heart lightening when I realized he wasn’t present.
Could he be skipping class? The lessons were dull, but they helped pass the time as I waited for the real reason I was here. My hopes of avoiding him were shattered like a house in a tornado’s path.
His hair was a sandy blonde, curly and long enough for me to run my fingers through and tug on while… Damn. My cheeks burned as he sauntered in and claimed the empty desk beside me, leaving the girl he’d arrived with to find another seat.
My eyes stayed glued to the teacher at the front of the room. Don’t look at him. But his scent… Oh, damn. I clenched the edge of the desk and took a deep breath.
Just breathe, Nat. He’s a werewolf. You can’t sleep with him.
“Are you okay?” His voice spun me into a whirl of confusion.
I could only manage a nod. What was happening to me?
He leaned in closer, and I could feel the warmth radiating from his body.
“If you want another private show, just let me know.” His lips curled into a smirk.
I made a concerted effort to avoid his gaze, but I was acutely aware of him in my peripheral vision. His lips were so full and tempting, I couldn’t help but fantasize about how they’d feel against mine. I felt my fangs lengthen and tried to keep my mouth shut.
“Do you enjoy sneaking around the boys’ dormitory, watching guys pleasure themselves?” he whispered. “Or is it just me?”
Just you, I thought. But I wasn’t about to confess to him that he was the reason I was there. That his scent was intoxicating, and that I wanted him.
The teacher droned on, but I couldn’t focus on her words. Raff consumed my every thought. I slowly turned my head, a decision I instantly regretted.
His golden eyes, their current color, pierced through me as if he could see my every thought. He took a deep breath, his smirk widening, and I swallowed hard.
The longer our eyes locked, the more the heat intensified between my thighs. I licked my lips and his gaze dropped to them. He had me all wound up, and he hadn’t even touched me.
This wasn’t right. There had to be something wrong with me.
“Come to my room after this lesson,” he said, giving me a quick once-over before turning back to the front.
Go to his room after this? Absolutely not. If I did, he’d be asking for trouble. I wasn’t sure I could control myself around him.
I was still staring at him when he glanced my way.
“Because if you don’t,” he declared, a broad grin spreading across his face, “I will come and find you!”
