Chapter 4

NOAH

I broke one of my rules to live by this night: never collect the woman’s number.

I usually don’t do that with women I have one-night stands with because then they’ll be expecting me to call them, and I don’t like giving false hope.

I don’t even know what compelled me to collect her phone number… Well, I do know: she had been sinfully amazing in bed. I just…

I wasn’t looking for a relationship right now, and yet it was like every part of me was crying out for her. She was drop-dead beautiful, witty, and touching her had made me feel like I was on fire.

The first thing I had noticed when I saw her were her eyes. Enormous dark brown orbs that seemed to see through me while pulling me into their depths.

Her golden-brown skin had looked so soft and supple, as if she spent all her time at the spa, though I was certain that was just her natural look.

She wore minimal makeup, save for lip gloss, which drew my attention to her perfect lips.

Her face was supremely angelic, but her cleavage and curvy ass would bring any hot-blooded male to his knees.

I didn’t even know her last name, but one thing was certain…

I wanted to see her again. And I was definitely going to call her.

Even driving to the hospital to go see my brother, Shane, who’d been involved in an accident, I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

I also couldn’t stop myself from imagining her gorgeous fucking mouth wrapped around my dick, which was wrong.

I should have been worried about Shane, but considering it was my mom who told me about the accident and not my sister, who was Shane’s emergency contact, he probably wasn’t seriously injured.

“Fuck,” I muttered under my breath.

I wanted to go back to the club to see if Dalia was still there, and if she was, I wanted to take her back to my place like I planned to so I would get that insanely sexy body under mine again.

But Mom would kill me if I didn’t show up at the hospital to see the brother I didn’t really like.

I let out an exasperated sigh as I realized she would probably bring up the fact I was still single and badger me about when I was going to get a girlfriend.

She would also try to get me and Shane to reconcile since she’d finally have the both of us in the same place for the first time in a long while.

The urge to turn the car around was now overwhelming, and I tightened my grip on the steering wheel just before my phone began to ring.

I glanced at the car’s integrated screen before answering it to see that it was a call from my sister.

“Hey. I’m almost—”

“Noah, we already left the hospital.” Taylor cut me off, and I drew my brows together while I slowed down my car.

“Huh?” I muttered even though I heard her clearly. I was almost at the hospital to check on a brother I didn’t like much, but they had already left.

The first thing that popped into my mind was that I should have just stayed with Dalia in the club.

“Sorry, Mom just told me she called you. The accident wasn’t serious, he just nee—”

“Don’t tell him that. Tell him to meet us at Shane’s place,” Mom said in a volume that she thought was a whisper, and a muscle in my jaw twitched.

I wanted to kill someone. I left an amazing girl back at the club so I could get ditched by a brother I hadn’t talked to in a long while.

Is Dalia still at the club?

“Pretty sure he heard you. Noah—”

I ended the call before I scanned my surroundings, looking for somewhere to park, and when my eyes landed on a convenience store, I quickly pulled into the parking lot.

I picked up my phone and immediately went to my contacts, scrolling to Dalia before dialing her number.

Wait… what the hell am I doing?

I’d only left the club a couple of minutes ago and I was already calling her. What would she think?

“Hey.” Her sultry voice filled the car, and I instantly sat upright as my mouth ran dry.

What the hell? Was I in middle school? I couldn’t remember the last time I’d reacted this way to a woman.

Her voice also made that part that wanted to tell me to wait at least a day before I called her disappear.

“Hi, it’s, uh…” I cleared my throat as images of her writhing and moaning under me and how she had felt in my hands filled my head. I wanted her again. “It’s Noah.”

“Oh!” she replied sharply, sounding really surprised, and I didn’t know how to respond because I wasn’t sure if her reaction was a good thing or a bad thing. “You called?”

I slightly furrowed my brow at that while the corner of my mouth curved up. “Well, I collected your number…”

I trailed off and couldn’t stop myself from smiling when she laughed softly at my response.

“Yes, I know. I just wasn’t…” She sucked in a sharp breath, and a jolt ran through me as she slowly let it out.

Flashes of her lying naked under me with my cock embedded deep within her came rushing back to me again.

I tightened my free hand into a fist as if that would help me control my thoughts or my erection.

“Hey, Noah,” she said, and I finally realized I could only hear a couple of voices around her. No loud music.

“Are you still at the club?”

“No, I’m in a cab. I’m headed back to my friend’s place,” she replied, and I remembered the girls I had seen her talking to in the club.

“Damn,” I muttered.

“Huh?”

“Nothing, I was just…”

I was nervous… I was fucking nervous, but one thing was for sure: I wanted her all to myself. Completely to myself…

Wait, what?

“Would you like to hang out sometime?” I blurted out and mentally smacked myself immediately because I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but I was hooked. I couldn’t help myself.

“Huh?” she repeated, but she didn’t sound like she hadn’t heard me; she just sounded confused.

The next couple of seconds were basically the longest seconds of my life, and I felt like I could breathe again when she finally said, “I, um…sure.”

She cleared her throat and said again, “Sure. When?”

A huge smile overtook my face, and it probably made me look like a fool, but I didn’t care. “How does Monday afternoon sound?”

“That’s, uh…great. Monday sounds great.”
