I was wrapping up my final appointment of the day when Mrs. Smith finally exited my office. As I reached to close the door behind her, a familiar hand forcefully pushed it open.
The hand was adorned with a luxury watch, its sleek design catching the light as his cufflinked sleeve brushed past me. But that only made him more appealing. There was something magnetic about him, something that drew me in despite my better judgment. I wanted to remain professional, but deep down, the truth was that I craved something I had no business craving—him.
“Mr. Vince,” I stammered, my voice catching in my throat as I tried to steady my trembling hands on the doorknob. “Is everything all right with the filling?”
His icy blue eyes locked onto mine, piercing me with an intensity that made my skin tingle. I swallowed hard, trying to maintain my composure. He was far too close for comfort, and the scent of his expensive cologne filled the air around me, heady and intoxicating.
“It’s fine, Dr. Dupont,” he said, his deep, velvety voice sending a shockwave through my body. “I’m here for something else.”
“Something else?” My brows furrowed in confusion. His eyes bore into me, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips as if he knew exactly what effect he was having on me.
“I need whitening.”
Whitening? I blinked, trying to process his words. Out of all the services I offered, why on earth would he come to me for something as simple as that? It made no sense. Surely a man like him had a personal dentist or could access the best in the world at a moment’s notice.
But here he was. Standing in my office, commanding all the space with his powerful presence. I couldn’t wrap my mind around it.
“Whitening…,” I echoed dumbly, my brain struggling to keep up. “Okay. Of course, Mr. Vince, you can…sit in the chair.”
I gestured to the dental chair, my hands shaking so badly I almost dropped the clipboard I was holding. Why did he have this effect on me? It wasn’t just that he was incredibly handsome—tall, with dark-blond hair styled to perfection, broad shoulders filling out his tailored suit. No, it was something deeper. He radiated authority, confidence, and power in every move, every glance. His energy was almost suffocating in its intensity.
And I was drawn to it. Despite the professionalism I clung to, every fiber of my being wanted to feel his touch, to melt into the dangerous allure of the man before me.
Elliot didn’t sit down immediately. Instead, he watched me for a long moment, his eyes scanning my face as if he could see right through me. Then, with calculated movements, he sat on the dentistry chair.
“Why are you holding yourself back from me?” His voice was low, laced with a seductive tone that made my breath hitch.
I froze, my heart hammering in my chest as I struggled to form words. “I don’t… I don’t know what you mean.”
His lips curled into a small, knowing smile. He leaned closer to me. My body reacted before I could stop it, my breath coming out in shallow gasps as the space between us diminished. He reached up, his hand brushing softly along my jawline, his touch both gentle and electrifying.
“You’re a terrible liar,” he whispered, his thumb grazing my bottom lip, making my skin heat up beneath his touch. My mind was screaming for me to pull away, to maintain my professionalism, but my body was betraying me, every part of me leaning into him.
I could feel his breath on my skin, warm and inviting, his lips so close to mine that I could almost taste him. My heart raced uncontrollably, my resolve crumbling with every second that passed.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you since the moment I walked into your office last week.” Elliot’s voice was barely above a murmur, but the weight of his words sent a flood of heat through me. My knees weakened, and before I could stop myself, I let out a soft, involuntary sigh, my body moving toward his.

With a quick motion, he cupped my face in his hands and pulled me into him, his lips crashing against mine.
