Undercover at the MC Book 2: Navy & West

After-Party

NAVY

Oh, crap. What the hell am I doing here? Why did I agree to this?

I’m not even remotely attracted to the woman West has picked out for us. Her name is Abbey, she’s around our age, and she’s way too eager. She’s moaning far too loudly as she kisses West in the dimly lit room.

West catches my eye from where I’m standing awkwardly at the door. He beckons me over with a flick of his finger. I find myself drawn to him, unable to resist.

Abbey’s lips crash into mine, and I feel a wave of discomfort wash over me. Despite this, I find myself kissing her back, my hands finding their way to her hips. Her hands roam over my chest and stomach, and she lets out a pleased sound against my mouth.

She looks at me in surprise, then lifts my T-shirt to run her hands over my chest and stomach. West whistles in appreciation. I don’t mind Abbey admiring my physique, but when I see the admiration in West’s eyes, my body reacts. Damn it.

“Someone’s been working out!” Abbey exclaims, clearly impressed.

I shrug, feeling a bit embarrassed. “I have to be fit for work,” I mumble, my gaze fixed on the wall as I try to sort through my jumbled thoughts.

Abbey’s hands slide over my crotch, and she murmurs, “Someone’s not quite ready yet.” She gives me a challenging look and kneels between us.

“Look at that… That’s the perfect position,” West says, grinning. He’s more coherent than he was half an hour ago, but his gaze is still glazed with alcohol.

“Suck him,” he orders, and damn if his voice doesn’t do something to me. I take a deep breath, trying to slow my racing heart. I don’t notice Abbey unbuttoning my pants and pulling them down along with my boxers. My eyes are closed, and the room is spinning.

“I want you two to kiss,” Abbey says, and my eyes fly open in panic. I meet West’s gaze. He doesn’t seem to care and shrugs.

Before I can protest, he places a hand on my neck and presses his lips to mine. They’re warm, soft, and everything I imagined. He tastes like whiskey, which does wonders for my libido.

“Ooo, yes! That gets him going. Look at that!” Abbey exclaims from somewhere far away. I’m brought back to reality by the realization that I’m painfully hard, and it has nothing to do with Abbey, who’s on her knees admiring my arousal.

“Fuck… Fuck… I can’t do this,” I whisper in a panic. I quickly pull up my boxers and pants and fumble with the button.

“You okay, man?” West asks, sounding concerned.

I shake my head and run my hands through my hair. “I’m not feeling well… Must be the alcohol,” I mumble, trying to calm myself down.

“Sorry,” I say softly, then make a hasty exit from the room. As if things couldn’t get any worse, I run into Jackson. Just my luck…

“Dude… Where were you?” he grumbles, sounding annoyed.

I avoid his gaze. “I was… Just busy,” I mumble, feeling a bit dizzy.

“I’d like to go home… But I can call a taxi if you don’t want to leave yet?” I suggest. Jackson immediately shakes his head.

“I want to leave, you know that,” he says, and I chuckle. How could I forget that my antisocial brother hates parties?

“How much have you had? You’re wobbling on your legs,” he scolds, and I roll my eyes.

“Too much… That’s why I want to go home,” I mumble, and he nods.

We’re heading toward the exit when my name is called from behind us. Hammer and Morgan approach, Hammer grinning widely.

“Did you have a good time in there, Navy?” he asks, winking at me.

I can’t stop the blush that creeps up my cheeks. I roll my eyes and shake my head. “Nothing happened…,” I mutter, feeling a bit foolish.

He chuckles and shakes his head. “West is going to be a handful, I can already tell.” He chuckles, and I sense Jackson’s curious gaze on me.

“Ever thought about joining our club, Navy?” Hammer suddenly proposes, catching me off guard.

“Um… Yeah, I did consider it today,” I admit, shrugging nonchalantly.

“Great! How about you join us for breakfast on Monday? You’ll get a feel for the club when there’s no party. After breakfast, we usually go for a two-hour ride. You got a bike?” he asks.

I shake my head. “I haven’t had the chance to buy one yet, but it’s definitely on my to-do list,” I assure him.

He nods approvingly. “Regardless, come for breakfast. We might be able to sort something out for you… I think you’ll fit right in with us, just like your brother,” he suggests, extending his hand.

I shake it, forcing a smile. I really don’t want to be here right now… I can’t deal with West at the moment.

“You’re looking a bit off-color, sweetheart. You okay?” Morgan asks, concern etched on her face as she places a hand on my shoulder.

I give her a sheepish look and shrug. “Too many shots,” I confess, forcing a grin.

She bursts into laughter. Hammer joins in, his eyes crinkling with amusement.

“Let’s get out of here,” Jackson mutters beside me.

I nod in agreement. We head toward the car, and I slide into the seat.

“What happened?” Jackson inquires as we pull away from the property.

I let out a deep sigh, torn between making up an excuse or spilling the truth. “I, uh… I had a few too many shots with West, and he…suggested we share a Devil’s girl…,” I mumble.

I hear Jackson curse under his breath. But when I glance at him, there’s a grin on his face.

“And how’d that work out for you?” he teases, laughter lacing his voice.

I punch him in the arm in response. “Not my scene… I wasn’t really into it, so I left,” I grumble, irritated.

Jackson chuckles, finding my discomfort amusing. “So West is with that woman now?” he asks.

I shrug, staring out the window. The thought of him being with her stirs a pang of jealousy I shouldn’t be feeling. I hope we can still be friends after this, but I guess I’ll find out on Monday.

“After the ride on Monday, I want to start training you on how the garage operates,” Jackson announces as we pull up to his house.

I nod in silent agreement.

“Hey… You okay?” he asks, nudging my shoulder.

I look at him and nod, forcing a smile.

“Yeah, just tired and drunk,” I mumble, and he grins in response.

Soon enough, I’m showered and in bed, reflecting on the evening. It’s strange how a man my age struggles so much with coming out. I don’t want people to see me differently… I think.

I may appear tough and imposing on the outside, but I’m actually quite sensitive. Like my brother, I want people to believe I don’t give a damn about anything, when in reality, it’s the complete opposite.

The room starts to spin, and I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to focus so I don’t get sick. It was a terrible idea to do so many shots back-to-back… Especially after abstaining from alcohol for so long.

Even though we’re allowed to have a beer occasionally on base, I never do. I’m there to work, and alcohol doesn’t fit into that equation.

I try to concentrate on sleeping, but all I can see is West’s face and the sensation I felt when our lips met…

This is going to be one hell of a restless night.
