Just One Night

Chapter 3

It was now Saturday night. Eve had returned home the night before and told Rosalee that they were going to the nightclub. She came from her bedroom wearing a plain blue dress, which had Eve shaking her head.

“Rosalee, you aren’t really planning on wearing that, are you?”

She looked down at her dress and back at Eve. “What’s wrong with it?”

“Nothing, if you’re on your way to church,” Rory piped in sarcastically.

“He’s right, we need to get you into something sexy, something that will have every man in the club drooling. I have the perfect dress for you to wear. It’s super short on me, but seeing you’re short, it will fit you just right.” She ran to her room and came back with a black dress, spaghetti straps, and cut low in the front. “Here, go put this on.”

Taking the dress from Eve, she went back into her bedroom and changed into it. She stood looking in the mirror and frowned. It was even short on her and wondered how in the world could Eve wear it. Why, it would barely cover her ass. The front of the dress was so low cut it showed off too much of her breasts, something she wasn’t used to revealing. “Eve, I can’t possibly wear this, it’s too revealing,” she shouted out through the closed door.

“Come out and let us see it on you,” Eve shouted back.

“Hot damn,” Rory stated when she came out.

She noticed how Rory was staring at her breasts and felt uncomfortable. “I can’t go out like this, I feel naked.”

Eve was grinning ear to ear. “Why have you been hiding this figure all this time under such baggy clothes? You look so hot.” She looked over at Rory and poked him in the ribs, getting his attention. “Stop looking at her tits, you’re making her uncomfortable.”

“I can’t help it, she’s gorgeous, and that dress fits her like a glove.”

“I’m putting the other dress on.”

Eve stepped in front of her. “Rosalee, this is your last night to go out and have some fun before you start work. It’s your chance to let loose and do something out of your comfort zone. You need to find someone and get laid.”

“I’m not the type to sleep with a stranger.”

“I know, but it’s been a long time since you had sex, and this way there won’t be any strings, just a one-night stand with a perfect stranger. You’ll never have to see him again.” She placed her hands on Rosalee’s shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes. “You once told me that was your fantasy, so why not fulfill it? Once you start work, you may not have time for a real relationship for a while.”

“I’ll wear the dress, but I won’t pick out a stranger to have sex with.”

When they got to the club, and she saw the lineup, she turned to Eve. “There’s too long of a lineup, we’ll never get in.”

“Leave it to me, ladies,” Rory said, putting his arm around both women. He led them towards the front and smiled at the man who was in charge of who to let in. “Hey, Frank, busy I see. Any chance of you letting us in?”

“Rory, good to see you,” he said, looking at the two women that were with him. “Yeah, go on in and have a good time,” he said, opening the door for them. This had the others that were waiting in line mad, and they started booing him.

The moment they stepped in, she had to cover her ears from the music that was so loud. The place was dimly lit, and there were flashing lights coming from the dance area that was crowded with people dancing. She had to lean in close to hear what Eve was saying.

“Rory’s going to get us something to drink, let’s go find an empty table,” Eve said, shouting so that Rosalee could hear her.

Finding a table, they sat down.

“My God, is it always this crowded and loud?”

“Yeah, that’s why I picked this table, less noisy here.”

Rosalee looked at what Rory brought back with him, three zombies, a drink she had heard about but never tried. “What’s in these?”

Rory explained and also said it wasn’t wise to drink more than two. “We’ll have these and then switch to something less strong.” He watched as Rosalee took a sip and smiled. It seemed she was enjoying it. “Don’t drink it too fast,” he said, putting his hand over hers when she went to take another long sip.

“Let’s dance,” Eve said, getting up. She grabbed Rory’s hand.

Rosalee sat back and watched them dancing. It wasn’t easy keeping an eye on them due to a large number of people on the dance floor. She was sitting there minding her own business when a man approached her and asked if she would like to dance. She would have said yes if it wasn’t for the fact that he kept staring at her breasts, so she turned him down.

During the time that Eve and Rory were dancing, she had three men hitting on her, but she turned them all down. She was glad when they returned from dancing.

“Hasn’t anyone asked you to dance yet?” Eve asked, taking a sip of her drink.

“Yes, three, but all they could do was stare at my breasts, so I told them to go away. I really don’t think I belong here.”

Rory got to his feet and held his hand out to her. “We can’t let you leave until you’ve had some fun, so come dance with me.”

Rosalee looked over at Eve.

“It’s okay, go ahead, I don’t mind, and besides, I can use a break.”

Since they were being so persistent, she gave in and walked with him to the dance area. She was glad it was a fast dance and not one of those slow and romantic ones. After the second dance, and then when a slow one started, she said she wanted to go sit down. She was feeling a little hot and thirsty, so she finished the rest of her drink, and Rory went and got them all another round. By the time she finished her second zombie, she was starting to feel it. It was putting her in the party mood, so when a young man walked up to her and asked her to dance, she accepted.

The young man, whose name was Morgan, started getting a little fresh after the second dance, so she pushed him away and left to go back to the table.

“You look upset, sweetheart,” Rory said when he saw the look on her face.

“I thought that guy was a gentleman, but it turned out he was some kind of pervert. He started groping me, touching my breast, and then his hands were on my ass. Why do men have to behave like that?”

Eve patted her on the arm. “Not all guys are like that. You just have to keep looking for the right one.”

“But I’m not looking for anyone,” she said, taking a sip of her rum that Rory had gotten for her.

Eve leaned across the table. “Okay, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun tonight. Look around and pick out a man that interests you, go talk to him, and see if he would like to have sex with you.”

“Oh my God, Eve, I can’t believe you want me to go up to a perfect stranger and proposition him.”

“Most of the men that are here are only looking for a one-night stand, and what would be the harm in that? You haven’t gotten laid in such a long time, and I think it’s what you need right now.”

Rosalee looked over at Rory, hoping to get his support on this. “Please tell Eve that it wouldn’t be right for me to do that.”

“Actually, I think you should go for it.”

She raised her arms up and down again in utter frustration. “If I’m going to do that, then I need another drink.”

“Go get her another one,” Eve said, nudging Rory in the ribs.

When he came back with her drink, and she started drinking it, she looked around the room at all the men that were there. “I don’t see anyone here that I would want to sleep with. They’re either too old, or they are with somebody.” By this time, the alcohol was making her braver and she was seriously checking out all the men.

Eve had a grin on her face when she looked at her friend. “Well, don’t look right now, but there is a drop-dead gorgeous man at the bar, and he’s looking at you.”

She discreetly turned her head towards the bar and noticed a man looking right at her. She felt a tiny stirring down below when she looked at him and saw that he was looking straight at her. She turned her head back to look at Eve. “He is hot, but I’m sure he’s here with somebody, there has to be.”

“I don’t think so. I’ve been watching him for a while, and no woman has been near him. I also noticed that he’s been watching you even when you were on the dance floor. I think he’s interested in you.”

“Well, if he’s so interested in me, why hasn’t he approached me?”

“I don’t know, maybe he sees that you’re here with us and doesn’t want to interrupt. Go over to the bar and sit on the stool next to him and order a drink. Once you’re there, you can strike up a conversation.”

She looked back at the hunk that was sitting at the bar, so finishing her drink in one swallow, she got up. “Alright, I can’t believe I’m doing this.”

Eve grabbed a hold of her hand. “If the two of you hit it off and decide to leave, I just want you to know that Rory and I will be going to an after-hours party, so you’ll have the apartment all to yourself until morning. Have fun, but be careful, there is a box of condoms in the dresser by my bed, help yourself to them.”

With the courage she wouldn’t have had without the alcohol, she walked slowly over to the bar and sat on the barstool next to the stranger. “I’ll have a rum and coke, please,” she said to the bartender.

“Let me get that for you,” the stranger said, taking out his money and handed it to the man behind the bar.

She turned her head to look at him and smiled. “You don’t have to do that, but thank you.” She liked the fact that he was looking into her eyes and not staring at her breasts.

“You’re very welcome. I would have bought you one sooner and taken it over to you, but I didn’t want to interrupt you and your friends. Also, it seemed like you had your hands full with all the men going over to you.”

“So you’ve been watching me? Are you some sort of stalker or something?”

He smiled and shook his head. “No, I haven't, but how could I not notice the prettiest girl in the place? Then when I noticed that one man grabbing you, I thought for a moment I was going to have to go over there and rescue you. But I’m glad to see that you are a woman who can take care of yourself.”

“I can, and thank you.”

“Just what are you thanking me for?”

“For looking at my face instead of staring at my breasts.”

He did glance down for a quick moment before speaking to her, and he wasn’t about to tell her that he had checked out her rack earlier. “Well, I will admit that you do have a great chest, but I also think it’s rude for men to stare at them. So do you come here often?”

“No, it’s my first time, and I’m only here because my friends insisted I come out and have some fun tonight. I actually just moved to Orlando a few days ago.”

He glanced over his shoulder and noticed that the couple she came in with were leaving. “It looks like your friends are leaving, so I guess you’ll want to go join them.”

She glanced behind her and back to him. “They are going to a party, and I didn’t feel like going, so I guess I’ll just have to take a cab home.”

“Well, if you want, I could give you a ride home, that is if you feel safe enough to get into a vehicle with a stranger.”

“I have a feeling I can trust you, but I wouldn’t want to take you out of your way. Won’t your wife or girlfriend be expecting you?”

“I’m not married, and I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t mind giving you a ride home.”

This was it, she was going to do something she would never have thought she would do, and that was to take a ride with a stranger and most likely end up in bed with him. She was a little nervous, but once again, the alcohol was making her brave. “Okay, if you’re sure you don’t mind.”

“Whenever you’re ready,” he said, giving her a warm smile. He liked what he saw, she was blonde and slender and looked sexy as hell in that dress she was wearing. He was also hoping to be able to take it off of her once he took her home, and judging by the smile on her face, she was thinking the same thing. As soon as she sat down beside him, and they looked into each other’s eyes, he felt the sparks, well actually, it was lust that he was feeling, and he could see it in her eyes she was too.

“I’m ready now,” she said, getting off the barstool and waited for him. She liked the feel of his hand on her lower back as they walked out of the bar and over to a parked car. As she sat beside him in the vehicle, she got a good whiff of his scent, and it was intoxicating. Her heart started racing, wondering if he would actually make a move on her or just drop her off. Then she decided to make the first move. “When we get to my place, would you like to come in for something to drink?”

“Yeah, I wouldn’t mind a cold beer if you have any.”

“Yes, I have some beer in the fridge,” she said. She hadn’t given him her name nor did he give her his, which was okay with her. If this were to be a one-night stand, there was no need to learn each other’s names or any other personal information.
