My dear Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen of the ton,
The London Season is nearing its end, but there is still time to share any salacious on dit or shocking revelation that would help us choose 1813 Society’s Most Scandalous.
This Season, the Fitzroys and the Claremonts, who have so often entertained us with their long-standing rivalry, have been disappointingly free of dirty linen. The truce between the two families that began with last Season’s scandalous marriage of Frederick Fitzroy to Lady Dorothea Claremont has been further cemented with the recent union of George Claremont to Miss Kitty Fitzroy.
If they will not entertain us, then who will rise—or sink—to take this year’s prize?
Have your nominations delivered before the Season’s closing party to The Times, Fleet Street, London.
The name of the winner of the ton’s most eagerly awaited opprobrium will be published, as always, on the morning after the final ball of the Season.
